Chișinău has football in almost every district, but the pitches differ a lot — in size, surface, and what you find when you arrive. The list below covers ten pitches across eight venues, with the district and address of each.

All ten have floodlights. From September to April any match after 18:00 depends on them, so it is worth saying outright — here you do not need to ask.
What gets played where
If you gather a big group, options are few. Only four pitches take 11-a-side: Carpen, Joma Arena Pitch C, Zimbru and Zadnipru. The format looks impressive but needs 22 people to actually turn up — in practice the most common reason matches get cancelled.
If there are ten to fourteen of you — the usual case — almost any pitch on this list works. Carpen alone spans 5-a-side to 11-a-side, which makes it the most forgiving when you don't know until the last evening how many are coming.
If there are exactly ten or twelve of you, the small pitches are cheaper and better suited than a large one you'd get lost on: Premier Football is strictly 5-a-side, both Dinamo pitches strictly 6-a-side.
The only natural grass on the list
Pitch F at Joma Arena is the only one with natural grass. Everything else is synthetic.
The difference is real. Natural grass plays better and is considerably kinder in slides and contact. But it closes in heavy rain, to avoid wrecking the surface, and degrades over winter — so availability is less dependable.
Synthetic drains fast, is playable straight after rain, and withstands heavy use. It does require boots with short, densely spaced studs. Long studs made for natural grass catch in synthetic fibres and raise the risk of knee injury — the most common equipment mistake in amateur football, and an expensive one.
What to check before booking
Floodlights are settled everywhere. Three things are not:
- Showers. Two venues have none: Carpen and the FMF pitch at La Izvor. If the match is after work and everyone goes straight home, that may be fine. If not, it matters.
- Changing room. The FMF pitch at La Izvor has no changing room either. Arrive already kitted out.
- Format. Don't assume a "football pitch" takes any number of players. The Dinamo pitches are 6-a-side and nothing else.
By district, briefly
- Sculeni has the highest density — three pitches, two at Joma Arena and one at La Izvor, all on or beside Strada Ghidighici.
- Buiucani has two identical 6-a-side pitches at Dinamo, which means a larger group can run two matches in parallel at one location.
- Rîșcani, Botanica, Ciocana and Telecentru have one pitch each, but all four take large formats.
- Durlești, technically outside the city, has one 5-a-side pitch.
This list is not exhaustive for the whole city: Chișinău also has neighbourhood pitches with no formal management, which appear in no records at all. The above are the managed pitches with known addresses and facilities, as of August 2026.
