Volleyball courts in Chișinău

Indoor halls with a proper net and sand courts for the summer. Games are scored in sets the way volleyball is actually played, and a weekly slot can be set up once and left to repeat.

Scored properly

Sets to 25, not a clock.

Volleyball is not played to time. Sets run to 25 points with a two-point margin, the app keeps the running score, and both captains confirm the result at the end.

6v6 and 4v4

Six a side is the indoor standard; four a side is the sand-court game, played outdoors from late spring.

Frequently asked questions

About volleyball.

Where can I play volleyball in Chișinău?

Sporta MD lists partner volleyball venues in Chișinău, including indoor sports halls and outdoor sand courts. Filter the venue map by volleyball to see only the courts that support it, along with opening hours, surface and facilities such as changing rooms and showers.

How much does a volleyball court cost?

Indoor halls are charged per hour for the whole court, with the exact rate shown on each venue before you confirm. Split between twelve players an indoor hour is usually the cheapest team sport per head in the city. Sand courts are typically cheaper again and are seasonal.

What is the difference between 6v6 and 4v4?

6v6 is the indoor game: six players per side, rotation, and sets to 25 points. 4v4 is the outdoor sand format, played on a smaller court with fewer players and no rotation obligations. Sand is more forgiving for beginners because the ball moves more slowly.

Can I set up a weekly game for my office?

Yes. Create a recurring match — for example every Tuesday at 19:00 — and the same group is invited each week without you re-booking. Players can pay individually for their own place, so nobody has to chase colleagues for cash after the game.

I have just moved here and know nobody. Can I still play?

Yes. Join an open match instead of booking a court: you take a single place and the remaining spots fill from the community. Volleyball is a good entry point because teams are large and mixed ability is normal.
